1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and resaw (“we”, “us”). By downloading, signing in to, or using the resaw app or website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use resaw. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these Terms.

2. The service

resaw is a personal save-organizer: it stores the links, notes, images, and documents you save, organizes and summarizes them using AI, and helps you find and rediscover them later. resaw is free to use, with an optional paid subscription, resaw Premium, described in section 2a. The free plan holds a limited number of saves in your vault, currently 750 saves; saves beyond that wait on a waiting list until you upgrade (saves you add or share yourself can also come in when you make room), and are never deleted because of the limit. A free account can be used on one device at a time and includes a monthly allowance of AI credits, currently 150 a month, for vault chat, the cookbook, trip plans and resaw's other AI tools (section 2b). We will tell you in the app before we lower the monthly AI credits or the vault limit. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If a change reduces what resaw Premium includes, we will tell you in the app first, and you can cancel in your iPhone's Settings.

2a. resaw Premium

resaw Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store, monthly or yearly, currently US$4.99 a month or US$39.99 a year in the United States. The local price in your currency and the billing period are shown in the app before you buy, and the price is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Both plans include the same Premium features, and on either plan the AI credits are a monthly allowance (section 2b).

Premium removes the free plan's vault limit and brings in the saves on your waiting list, can be used on all your devices at once, and includes more AI credits: currently 2,000 a month instead of the free plan's 150 (section 2b).

• Renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancelling. Cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, and refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Price changes. If the price changes, Apple notifies you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent.
• Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple. Cancel it in your iPhone's Settings first.
• After Premium ends, nothing you saved is removed. New saves beyond the free limit wait on the waiting list again, free accounts return to one device at a time, and your AI credits follow the free plan's monthly allowance, counting what you already used that month (section 2b).

Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where the two conflict about your licence to use the app, Apple's agreement applies; these Terms govern your account and the resaw service.

2b. AI credits

Vault chat, the cookbook, trip plans and resaw's other AI tools run on AI credits. Each plan includes a monthly allowance: currently 150 credits a month on the free plan and 2,000 with Premium. Your allowance renews on the 1st of each month (UTC), and credits you have not used do not carry over. Credits come with your plan: they cannot be bought separately, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred or exchanged.

• What uses credits. Only the AI features you start: a vault chat answer, building a cookbook recipe, a trip plan, and the app's other AI tools, such as asking your vault a question or summarizing a folder. Saving and importing, the titles, summaries and folders resaw makes for each save, searching your saves, the map, and re-analyzing a save do not use credits.
• What a use costs. A use costs credits in line with the AI work it takes: how much the AI reads, including a recipe's video or photos, and how much it writes, priced from what our AI providers charge us. The same feature can cost a different number of credits each time. What a use costs can change when our providers change their prices or when we change the AI model a feature uses; if that makes a feature cost noticeably more, we will tell you in the app first. The app shows how many credits you have left.
• Starting a use. A use starts when you have at least what that feature usually costs. You are then charged what it actually cost, so a use can cost more than you had left, a recipe from a long video the most. You then have no credits until your allowance renews, and the difference is not carried into the next month. A use that is still running at midnight UTC on the 1st counts toward the new month. An answer is never cut off because your credits run out.
• When something fails. You are charged only for what was delivered. An answer that fails or comes back empty costs nothing, and an answer that stops partway costs only what was produced. A use is still charged if you delete or change what it was working on before it can be saved. A cookbook check that finds a save is not a recipe is an answer, not a failure, and uses credits. If our service fails or is stopped before it can record what a use cost, that use is charged what the feature usually costs when you next use an AI feature, and counts toward the month of that next use.
• Pace. On every plan, AI features run one at a time and a few seconds apart, currently 12 seconds. After several failed requests that later uses have not yet paid for, including recipes that could not be built, such as a video too long for a cook-along, all AI features run further apart, currently up to about 13 minutes. That ends once the credits charged for your later uses of the feature that failed add up to what those failures cost us, or two hours after the last failure. When we cannot measure what a failure cost, we count what that feature usually costs, or less for a recipe that failed before the AI started. This is separate from your credits and does not reset when your allowance renews.
• Changing plans. Credits are counted per calendar month, whatever your plan. If you upgrade during a month, the credits you have already used that month count toward Premium's allowance; if Premium ends during a month, they count toward the free plan's.

3. Your account

• You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. We do not offer password-based accounts.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use resaw.
• You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your Apple or Google account secure.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app. Open Settings, then Delete Account. Deletion is permanent.

4. Your content

What you save in resaw is yours. You keep all rights to it. To run the service for you, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, transmit, display, and process your content, including by sending it to our AI providers for analysis, solely to provide and improve the features you use, such as previews, titles, tags, summaries, search, and chat. This licence exists only so the app can work, ends when you delete the content or your account, and does not let us publish your content, sell it, or use it to advertise to you. We do not train AI models on your content, and our AI providers are contractually restricted from using it to train their models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use resaw to store or distribute unlawful, infringing, or abusive material;
• save content you have no right to save, or use resaw to circumvent another service’s terms or technical restrictions;
• attempt to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, or access another user’s data;
• use the service to build a competing dataset, or scrape it in bulk by automated means;
• resell or redistribute the service, or use it to send spam.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

6. Third-party content and services

resaw saves and displays content from links you choose, including from Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, articles, and other sources you send it. That content belongs to its owners, not to us, and we do not endorse it or vouch for its accuracy. We retrieve only publicly available information from those pages so we can build previews and summaries for you, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, or any other platform. If you import your own Instagram data export, you are responsible for having obtained it lawfully from your own account. Your use of any third-party service remains governed by that service’s own terms. If you believe content in resaw infringes your rights, contact us at hello@resaw.app.

7. AI-generated output

Titles, tags, summaries, cook-along steps, recommendations, and chat answers are generated automatically and may be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, safety, dietary, or other consequential decisions without checking the original source.

8. Disclaimers

resaw is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your content will always be preserved. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of resaw. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Termination

You may stop using resaw at any time and delete your account from Settings, then Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you, so if we end your account or discontinue the service, cancel resaw Premium in your iPhone's Settings; any refund is handled by Apple. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including your content licence for content you have not deleted, the disclaimers, and the limitation of liability, will survive.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of resaw will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. If you keep using resaw after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
